What Parla connects to
Parla connects to GitHub, through its GitHub App or a fine-grained personal access token, to pull your source file and open pull requests with translations. A REST API with workspace keys lets any CLI or CI pipeline upload files, start translation and download locale files. Nothing else is integrated today.
GitHub Live
Parla's GitHub App on the repositories you choose, or a fine-grained personal access token.
- Token permissions needed: Contents (read and write) and Pull requests (read and write) on the repository. The token is stored encrypted.
- Pull: Parla reads your source file from the branch you choose and imports it as a new release, listing new, changed and removed strings.
- Push: Parla creates a new branch, writes every translated file in one commit and opens a pull request. You see the branch, the pull request title and every file before you confirm.
- Parla never commits to your default branch, and broken strings are never written.
REST API and your CLI or CI Live
Workspace API keys (prl_…) sent as a Bearer token, from curl or any HTTP client.
- GET /api/v1/projects lists your projects.
- POST /api/v1/projects/{id}/upload uploads a source file and returns what changed.
- POST /api/v1/projects/{id}/translate starts AI translation for one or more languages.
- GET /api/v1/projects/{id}/status returns progress and problems per language.
- GET /api/v1/projects/{id}/download?locale=fr returns the locale file, or refuses with the reasons if a string would break.

- JSON (nested, flat, i18next, ICU), Android strings.xml, iOS .strings, Flutter .arb, gettext .po and .pot, Rails YAML and CSV.

Not offered
Parla doesn't connect to Figma, Slack, Jira, GitLab, Bitbucket, content management systems or over-the-air SDKs. If you need one of those, tell us, but don't buy Parla expecting it.
