How Parla differs
- Priced by words, projects and languages, never by seat: Starter $29, Team $59, Business $129 a month.
- Placeholders, tags and ICU structures are checked in code; a broken string can't be approved or exported.
- Translation stops at your plan's words unless an owner allows overage up to a cap.
- Fewer integrations: GitHub pull requests and a REST API only.
What to check before you switch
- Which integrations you rely on today (Figma, Jira, a CMS, over-the-air SDKs): Parla doesn't have them.
- Your file formats: Parla reads JSON, Android strings.xml, iOS .strings, Flutter .arb, gettext .po, Rails YAML and CSV.
- How you'll bring existing translations: upload your current target-language files into a project to import them.
What we couldn't verify
- Whether Lokalise's listed prices ($149, $379 and $1049 a month) are for monthly or yearly billing: the page has both toggles and the text we read didn't say.
- How many seats, hosted words and AI-translated words each Lokalise plan includes.
- Which Lokalise plans include which integrations and AI features.
- How Lokalise's own placeholder checks behave on export. We haven't tested Lokalise; check its documentation.
